My dad recently self-published a book of his short crime stories 'Murderous Intent' (available everywhere) and I helped out with the cover layout and prepared the file for print. Two photographs (the front cover by Republica, the back by Tam Dahn) were selected from royalty-free/CC0 stock picture libraries. Why use AI when you can use libraries such as Unsplash, Pexels and Pixabay, which offer an exhaustive range of professional quality images from international photographers, artists and designers who have not only made their work available, but have also consented to the commercial use of their work, unlike AI which has been trained on artworks without the consent of the artist. AI truly is a modern-day crime story.
